LONDON MILLENNIUM DOME

The 15' diameter undulating bubble used at the London Millennium Dome Exposition in 2000 as part of the Body Zone exhibit started out as a two foot diameter hand held spinning cage of Mylar strips run by a Black & Decker drill. I created a few of these "bubbles" that were held by dancers for the Alice Farley Dance Theatre production of "Black Water" at La Mama Theatre in New York City back in the early 90's. See BUBBLES.

An architecture firm in London saw the product and decided it was right for their Body Zone sculpture for the yet to be ill-fated Dome. It was pretty cool to see it this big.
